Notes for Patrick (Matthew) Malloy
This has been an extremely difficult search. He did a good Job of covering his tracks. The breakthrough came with the discovery of a "pioneers of Mckeesport" biography of his brother John H. Malloy, who owned three breweries. He was the only relative mentioned in Matthew's obituary. Through this connection the whole family was found, although it took a lot of searching. Interestingly, no male heir carries the name Malloy. 1870 Census PA WestmorelandCounty Sewickley Township page 632 line28 Patrick, age 12 siblings John, Daniel, Frank, Sarah Parents Patrick Maloy and Mary Cunningham 1880 Census Not shown in this family, was 22, apparently changed his name to Matthew.
