The family story is that the farm Rorvigen, situated across the lake from Rudsodegaard, was given to Anders Oleson by the King of Sweden, Gustav Adolph, Ole Ruud of Waterville named one of his sons Gustav Adolph. Ole Anderson married Ann Bjor, daughter of Rolf Oleson, owner of the farm Rudsodegaard. She inherited that farm, and he became know as Ole Anderson of Rudsodegaard.
